I am looking to get a new driver and its between these two. Why are there so many more 910s on the PGA then the R11? What is different in the r11 then the 910 series? Thanks.

To be honest with you, I wasn't really impressed with the R11 driver at a demo day about 6 months ago. I took my good ole 2007 Burner Draw HT loft M flex driver (this is a 13* loft and maybe 45" length may make it a borderline r flex club) and did a side-by-side comparison with three 10.5 deg R11s (one with M flex, one with R flex and one with stiff). The stiff went dead straight unadjusted (neutral face) but my so-called "old man" driver got better distance and actually had a lower trajectory. As far as the other two, I didn't see any performance gain vs my driver. I've liked the feel of a couple 909s I've tried and they have the length that works (45").

    blaine,

i think the d2 has greater adjustability than the r11.  also, i really can't stand the looks of the painted white clubhead.  it seems to scuff pretty easily, too.

  4. I've done a lot of fittings. Obviously, everyone wants to try an R11, 910, etc.. I can honestly say that I see more consistent results with the Titleist drivers. The shots seem much tighter with the 910's (D3 or D2). Plus, like I tell my customers...with Titleist, they offer an array of stock shafts which helps fit somone to a "t". Some of those "other" brands will charge an "up-charge" for a different shaft.

Honestly i think your making a wrong comparison. the R11 is a smaller head so if you were to compare it to a titleist you would be better to compair it to the D3. the Burner  and now the new RBZ line is more comparable to the D2. I've hit 3 of the four listed above and while in a fitting I'm always going to be fitted to the D3, R11 line i will say the D2is a nice club.

As far as the comparison goes i like the feel of a D3 better i think by far this is the best driver they've ever made and I find it really hard to improve on this. Im not a fan of the White head drivers. but i do like the all black look. that face plate thing on the bottom of the R11 only works if you take your grip with the club laying on the ground at address. (witch is a good practice) but not everyone does it this way so its kind of pointless if you don't grip your club this way. Honestly the 910 line's adjustability is probably the best on the market of any club out there. Titleist really got this one right.  yes TM started the shaft adjusting revolution but titleist one upped them in that department. the Adjustable weights are nice but i liked the three weight set up more than the R11 line. I was a die hard R7 guy back in the day.

For me, TM floods the market with new drivers and irons every six months or so. I think they just do to much that was my first reason to get away from them. and the R11 is a good driver in its own right i just don't find the latest innovation they have come out with that great.

As far as the 460cc head lines on the market the D2 pretty much rules the board. Nothing offers the adjust ability or just pure feel that the D2 has. Hands down the best club on the market.

I got the R11 for a Christmas present and really don't like it.  I had the R9 the pass couple of years and absolutely loved that club.  Too bad I sold that club!  Anyway I don't like the R11 and I just purchased the AP2 712 irons and fell in love with them.  So Im going out today to get me the 910 D2.
