    Last Friday night a co-worker of  mine texted me saying he got a new cameron putter.I was like cool where did you get it?He texted me a link for some web site with 777 in  the name.I clicked on the link and the putter was only $137.00.I thought it looked awful fishy.I had already started to type beware of counterfeits,but I was having a get together so I didnt send it.Monday I started asking him about it and it was obviously a fake.His money went to China and later in the week his bank took out two oversea transactions on him.After picking on him all week,showing him the cameron website on fakes on offering to give him good deals on rolex watches we let up on him.Friday morning he contacted the website via live chat and asked about his putter.They told him it cleared customs that morning and he should get in a few days.He asked why it had to clear customs when all cameron putters are made in california?They told him they had a factory in china too.

    Unfortunately it sounds like this is one that falls into the category of if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.   

    Lately there has been an increase of counterfeit golf products making their way into the marketplace. While we have a program to aggressively pursue those who engage in these practices, some counterfeit product finds its way into the marketplace, especially via the internet.

    "Pay with Visa credit card, gain mystical gift". One clue to counterfeits is a website that is worked like poorly translated assembly language on an imported (inexpensive) item. I have a coin business where authenticity is handled individually and agressively rather than by the cargotainer load and we in this business learn to spot the red flags quickly. I hope the US govt actively pursues these criminals. --Jerry
