I was about to but the original AP1's when i noticed now there were 710 AP1's. I started researching performance differences on those two when NOW there's 712 AP!'s (exclamtion point on purpose) Which is most forgiving? Which should I buy? Plus, if you guys know of any performance differentials between that Razr X, jpx 800, diablo ege, etc. etc. that's great

The original AP1 irons came out in Nov 2007, the 710's came out in Nov 2009, and the new 712 AP1 irons will launch Nov 2011. The most forgiving of all the sets will be the new 712 AP1 irons. Our R and D department has been working hard at trying to increase the forgiveness without sacrificing any workability and they have achieved it with our new tungsten weighting. The 712's will have a bevelled topline that gives it a thinner appearance, and we've reshaped the blade so that it is more proportional and pleasing to the eye. We have also incorporated a progressive blade length design so that the shorter irons are more compact and workable. All in all, the new 712 AP1's will be more forgiving with higher speeds on mishits, more playable in the short irons and have an improved shape and appearance.
