Last week we had a Titleist sales rep come out to our club for a mini demo day. His name was Dave Moynihan. Let me start off with saying what a professional he was. We were playing during the day and we were expecting to finish up sooner, but non the less, Dave waited around patiently for us. Once we arrived it was right to business. He started off with some basic questions, and then jumped right into the new clubs. I tried the MB's and the CB's. Thinking I was not Good enough to hit the MB's all the way through, Dave recommended setting me up with a "blended" set. 3-6 CB's and 7-PW MB's. I was a bit leary at first, as I am comfortable with my 710 AP2's, but want to "move up". Dave thought I was in a position to make the jump and felt a blended set would be much better for me. He convinced me and I am going with the blended set, with KBS black steel shafts. I can honestly say that I dont think I would have bought a new set at this point, but having Dave work with me for an hour or so did the trick. Needless to say, the order is in and I will hopefully have them for Thanksgiving. If there is anyway possible to thank Dave for his time and professionalism, Titeist is lucky to have him. He is a very knowledgable, trustworthy, and personable individual that represents the Titleist Team very well.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to pass your note along to Dave. Sounds like you had a pretty solid day. You'll have to keep us posted on how the new blended set works out for you. Thanks again!

Hi Brian, We think he is great, too. I spoke with Dave and passed on your email (he said Thanks!!). He did ask if the KBS Black nickel shafts were available for full sets. At this time, they are not. When Kim Braly came to Carlsbad to talk about his shafts, he explained that he was still working on making the finish more durable (for our testing) for full sets and that they were not going to be available until he was satisfied that they would pass our durability testing.
