    Hey everyone, can anyone help explain the grinds on the Vokey SM4 Wedges? It seems there are many new options available with different bounce and grind combinations. I understand bounce but im lost on grinds and i dont think im the only one.

    Definitely not the only one. I was wondering that myself. I know I am more of a slider with my flat swing but that does not help me with grind I dont think.

    Here are the explanations of grinds in Bob's own words: http://www.vokey.com/tech_central/page.aspx?id=34# The two that he has added for the new SM4's are the F and the S grinds. The F is a full sole with moderate camber and a small ribbon ground along the trailing edge. The F grind is used primarily in the PW and GW lofts. The S is a full sole with heel relief and a medium ribbon ground along the trailing edge. This wedge can be used by diggers and sliders - it is a dual wedge inspired by one of our best wedge players -Steve Stricker.
