910F 17* or 910H 17*?

    Hi,

    I have the 910F 17* and I love it for pure distance shots - 220yds is my yardage for it. But, I struggle with accuracy with it. PX 6.5 shaft 42".

    Anyone tried the 910H 17* - or similar comparison (say 910F 19* vs 910H 19*)? Yardage difference between F and H? More importantly - difference in accuracy?

    I have a 910H 21* with Motore F3 hybrid shaft that I am not keen on - prefer the accuracy of my AP1 4 iron better. I am clearly a better iron player. But, I love the F3 shaft (stiffer than steel!) so thinking of putting a 910H 17* head on it....

    kevin,

    when i was getting fitted, i tried both the f 17* and h 17*.  my problem was that the launch angle on the f was really low for some reason.  the h had a better launch.  for me, the shorter shaft on the h was allowing me a much more solid strike.  and compared to my old 3 wood, the distance was about the same.  after the fitting, i completely abandoned fairway woods - my makeup is now 910d3 9.5*, 910h 17* (going to experiment setting it to 16.25*) and probably a 910h 19*

    i suspect you may lose 10ish yards with the h, but i believe the shorter shaft will give you better accuracy.  good luck.
