Just a question, i have played Pro V1 and Pro V1x for at least 5 years. The pro today wanted me to try the cally Crome Soft with the 3 lines to help me line up putts. Here is the question: have anyone tried the Crome Soft. The cally seemed hot and rolled well off the putter. I am a true Titleist man and hate to change. Thoughts

With all due respect, please don't ask us about a competitor's ball. Sounds like your pro is just suggesting you use sight lines for putting. Titleist does have a lot of optional customization sight lines available for custom order or you can get one of those plastic ball templates and mark your own lines. That's what a lot of pros are doing that works well for them and keeps them using the #1 ball in golf.

You just stated you are a true Titleist man.
Keep thinking like that and you will be issued demerits and placed in detention.
FYI, I also tried the Chrome Soft (I was wearing a mask to hide my identity) and it is a good ball but the Pro V1 outplays it at all levels. Personally I prefer the AVX but will take a Pro V1 any day.

Why not order your preferred Titleist ball with putting alignment lines.

You can buy a tool that will allow you to draw 3 lines on your ball.

The Tour Speed has an enhanced alignment stripe. If aligning a putt is your only issue. I have found other issues with actually having the face square and hitting dead center in the face. One bold line works for me with my Pro-V’s. The rest is on me.

  7. I've used the chrome soft. I brought the ball marker to put the 3 lines on cause I liked the look. I'm not the best golfer in the world but couldn't really find any difference between the chrome soft and the pro v1. If your a true titleist man just mark the ball to look like the chrome soft. But ultimately use what's best for you

cally has announced, it is sold out of Chrome Soft for the rest of 2021. They are not taking any more orders, and hope to be able to fulfill as many existing orders as they can. In a related note, they also mentioned they are also sold out of 2 Ball Ten and 3 models of the OG White Hot putter for the rest of the year as well.

Line out Calloway and write in Titleist. Write neatly and use that for your alignment!
  10. To me, the Titleist ProV1x just feels better than the cally. The cally feels too soft and quiet, especially off the putter. If It were me, I'd just add some lines to the Titleist ball.

I play against guys in my men's group who love the Cally and TM balls and I say "see ya later" as I blow by them with my Prov1s and my TSI3D 10.75* against their best Cally/TM drivers. I feel the proof is in the pudding. I have hit the ball and it is an ok ball but does not compare to the Provs. Testimonial. If you can get your hands on the Prov1 left dot. BUY IT. Hot, hot, hot and the height and spin is great.
