I am wondering why Titleist Pro Vs that are manufactured in Thailand plant #4 end up at the Golf Galaxies, Dicks' Sporting Goods and online places like Golfballs.com while if I order through my course pro shop they are made in USA plant #3.

I would prefer to buy products made in the US. I assume/hope the quality control is the same.

Is there a plant #1 and #2 someplace else?

I have custom balls from plant 3 and plant 4 and do not see any difference in printing (lettering). The quality appears to be the same.

You mention in another post the quality of the balls from Thailand aren't as good as the US made ones.. You got some pics or details as to what these differences are?

    Hi John,

Thanks for the post and question. Rest assured that our exacting and stringent quality standards are upheld across all of our facilities. In addition, all of our ball plants are Titleist owned and operated facilities staffed by Titleist associates.

As for the custom printing differences, can you provide any more details around where you ordered the golf balls on the right from? This will help me look into why the printing varies from the ones on the left.

    Thanks, John.

    MIke,

Ordered through golfballs.com since my pro shop is closed because of COVID-19.

I know the ball is the same quality because it is a Titleist. It was the personalization that just was so different from all my years of ordering balls for myself or HS team.

    Thanks, John B

Thanks for the clarification John. It looks like the customization on that order didn't come from our custom plant and that would explain why it looks different from what you've seen in the past.

Thanks as always for the support, especially at the High School level. I still have fond memories of getting my custom Titleist balls before our matches and it always got me pumped for the round.

    All the best,
    Mike

Totally agree with Mike in that there are some third-party resellers like golfballs.com that do their own customization and therefore would look differently from those that come directly from Titleist.

I can’t find a dozen Pro V1x golf balls that are made in the United States. Eight years ago I was told they built a plant in Thailand because of international demand. Why am I seeing “Made in Thailand” on every box of Pro V1 golf balls at Golf Exchange, Golf Galaxy, and every course I play?

Take a trip to Ball Plant #3 in Massachusetts and do the tour. After the tour you will be able to purchase all the ProV1x's you can carry that were made right there. The used to stock special numbers 0-99 in their TT store, pre COVID when I was there. Guessing they still do. You can also order direct on this website and all those ProV's are coming from New Bedford.

As for performance and looks, I have played Pro V1s made in the US and Pro V1s made in Thailand and I cannot tell the difference.
