With no where to test the 2019 Pro Vs either inside or out (weather) - I'm faced with a dilemma...

Do I order the Pro V1 or Pro V1X during the loyalty promotion. The Titleist ball selector gave me Pro V1 as my first choice - do I go with it?

One man's opinion... Even though the ProV1x now is listed as a higher spinning, higher flying ball, I didn't notice a significant difference in my game. I did notice that the ProV1x still feels a bit hard to me, something that i find very important, the feel and sound hitting the ball. I am sticking with the ProV1 for now. I guess if you pick one now and later decide to change, you could probably find another TT member who would trade.

That's what I heard too - the balls are really close now and yes I like a softer ball feel. I played V1X since 2017 because that was recommended to me, but like you - I like the softer feel off all clubs.

    Thanks for the input.

Just buy a sleeve of each and putt around the house.. Stroke saver!

Do you currently play either ball? If you do then you may want to stick with the one currently play. They are both great golf balls and I don't think you can go wrong regardless which ball you choose.

Yes I started playin g V1X instead of V1 in 2015, but didn't like the new 2017 as much but played it. I like a softer feel, and I hear the balls are really close now so I'm leaning toward V1.

    Thanks for input.

    Pro v1 works for me,
even with all the changes over the last few years.

  10. I just ordered the yellow Pro V 1 based on past experience and input from those who have played both new balls.

It's hard to beat a ProV1. If the ball selector recommends it for you, I wold have no reason to doubt it. Of course you could talk to your club pro and ask his opinion.

I always found the ProV1x a bit hard feeling. Played the ProV for quite a few years untill the AVX came out last year. I really like the feel of that ball, especially off the Scotty putter!

I would go with the Titleist Ball Selector recommendation, no reason to doubt it as mentioned earlier.
