Why didn't titleist let me test this ball. I play prov1 wanted to try this model. The ball is awsome. Distance seemed the same and spin rate showed no real change. Ball flight was a little lower sin rate seemed the same. The feel is softer than the pro v1 and nice around the greens and off the putter. If anyone out there remebers the balata ball it is similar. Really liked it after one round. Lastly does titleist have any avx gear?

Testing is random. Can you imagine how many test balls they would need if they sent them to everyone who has a TT account? Glad you like them. Don't expect to see any AVX gear as they don't have any TourSoft, Velocity, or DT TruSoft gear either.

Unlike upcoming releases that get wide-spread seeding in October prior to the January PGA show, I was unaware that any AVX were formally seeded. Like the folks in CA, AZ, and FL, I had to buy my own to trial. An updated full profile here will increase the odds in a random selection when they are looking to seed the balls. As Dale said, there is no gear for any of the balls, and even the ball gear is for Pro-V, not distinctly for V or X.
  4. Glad to you enjoyed the AVX!
Cant wait to try them out and see if they can finally be the new go to ball.

Agree it seems like ball fitting is random. This ball is very interesting and wonder if any guys on tour will put it into play.

As soon as my Pro V1 stock runs out the AVX will be my next purchase. It is hard to expect it to outperform the V1 in terms of distance and softness.
