Just got word that Titleist's AVX golf balls are available in the U.S. beginning April 23, 2018, with worldwide availability scheduled for later this year. Oh, that's today for those who have been waiting. =) Cheers, Chuck......

Same price point as Pro V line, which might make it hard to change over to the AVX. The major upside is for those that have been expressing their desire for an optic yellow Pro V.
  3. I can hear the cheers now...
  4. Sweeet!
  5. I tried the ball and liked it but feel that at this price point ($47.99) it will be a lack luster seller after the initial release. For $4 more you can buy a dozen Pro Vs. I would have thought that they would be pricing them similarly to the competition's ball in this category ($44.99).

I would tend to agree with this, however...

If it didn't sell in their test markets, not sure they would have released it.

Curious about sales in the long run as well. It's fitting a segment of players that have been asking for it.
  7. Saw the news announcement, they should be perfect for those players that like the low ball flight. I hit these over the winter and really liked them...they play with a lower launch angle than my ProV1 or ProV1x's even though they are within the same high performance category.

    I LOVE the AVX.
    LOVE Titleist's advertising on it.
Thanks Cathi for sending me a dozen.
    They are absolutely glorious!
I'd love to see a buy 3, get one free promo for these truly outstanding balls!
    They are amazing!
    Thank you!

I was hoping for less professional price, but the reality is I've been on most of the chains about an optic Pro-V ball, and would have paid the same price if it was an optic Pro-V1. I've managed to scrape together a cache of AVX amber, and I'm really happy with the performance, especially with mid-irons. I have tried other amber balls that just didn't perform close enough to a Pro-V to use. This one makes the grade. At this price, it should be on any future loyalty packages along with the Pro V/X balls.

I'm planning on picking up a dozen and trying them out against my Pro V1x's...

A V X - "A" lternative to the V and the X and it comes in the Optic Yellow.

The Tour S is the ball for those who considered or played competitors Tour Soft.

    Two completely differently balls.

The AVX ball has me curious. I played it for almost a month and it held the greens, was long, putted well and had greenside control, but didn't quite seem to be "bite" as well as the Prov1 on pitch shots. I'm going to look at the AVX again.

Yes, I have been seeing the ads and have high hopes for the AVX success in sales/marketing. This is a good ball that will soon to be great, and I hope it gets some play in the tour.

The lower ball flight I've seen in comparison to the ProV1 had/are producing great results. Also, lately, the winds have been a factor at courses I've been playing. I used to frown about the wind but to me it's now an element I'm not so worried about- not to mention all the other good things I like about it.

I love this ball... thanks to Cathi for introducing me to it.
  15. Been playing them for two months now and I AM SOLD! Better directional control. Excellent bite on the greens and they putt true. Price could be a few dollars less, but...you can't have everything. Where would you put it?

My bottomline is I love the ball and feel it is a major part of my game improvement plan. I also like they are available in yellow as it makes them easier to find in leaves. Thank you, Titleist!
