I have a fitting at a local course coming up on Oct 10th with a Titleist rep. I have seen the $100 fee referred to as a "Deposit" on multiple threads. If I make a purchase as a result of the fitting does the $100 apply to the price of the purchase? This will be my first time being fitted by Titleist rep, but I know in the past I have had fitters waive the fitting fee with purchase and some (mainly CC) that did not apply fitting fee to purchases.

Suggest you talk directly with the fitter or course where you are having it done. Normally now, the fee can be directly applied to the same-day purchase of a club(s) you are trying at the fitting. High-end fittings at places like the TPI do not apply their fees and some courses may have a fitter that has waived the initial deposit for fittings. Best check before you go to fully understand what your options are in your specific fitting. Fittings are so very important to ensuring you are playing equipment best suited to you. Good luck and hope you are pleased with the final outcome as much as most all of us that have had it done.

I agree with Dale. I would inquire. I had mine done at the PGA SS Studio and incorrectly assumed that the $99 fitting fee would be applied to the cost of the clubs.

If you found the fitting from the Fitting tab on this web page, the $100 fee is applied to the clubs you were fitted for. In all likelihood. That was part of the disclaimers on the web page that took my money. Won’t hurt to recheck with the location if you don’t remember that disclosure.
All other fittings negotiated locally are not guaranteed by the same disclaimers. Best to clarify what the fee includes and if any is applied to the purchase.
Once fitted, there are reports that some wanted to buy $100 or more of other equipment and not buy the fitted clubs. That’s not how it was set up. Titleist covers the fitter so the expectation is to promote sales and discourage tire kickers or those buying through other channels. The sponsoring site should have some benefit for making the location available.
  5. I just got fit and the $100 fee was applied, as discussed above I scheduled online. Amazing experience, I also got TSR branded swag at the end. Finding the right shaft has given me a lot more confidence with my fairway woods ;-)

I did my fitting through Titleist at a local club ($100) and it was refunded back into the purchase of clubs.

I also inquired about a shaft fitting at PGA superstore and they said all fittings are $100 and are not applied to fittings. Sometimes cool clubs or hot stix or club champion will run full bag fitting promotions but they never apply the fitting cost to purchases.

Bradley - I'm in Hendersonville as well, member at BGYCC. I know this topic is old but curious what you did to find a quality Titleist fitter. I have struggled to find one outside of the 2 times a year someone will come set a tent up on the range for a specific day where scheduling gets hairy. Did you go with a specific fitter or a Titleist 'demo day' like I described above? I made the mistake of wanting the T150s in my hands ASAP and made some uneducated choices at Opry Edwin Watts which is leaving me questioning my Modus Tour 105s iron choice. Tornado took out our range so ive only had 5-6 rounds on course to get used to them.

If you use the Fittings tab on this website and select a fitter by name, not site, this will be a Titleist supplied fitter that will be a an area site for a scheduled fitting. There is the $100 deposit to secure that fitting. That amount will be applied to a purchase at that site for any club(s) that you are fitted for that day.
Demo days are rare if ever held anymore Either too few show or so many show no one gets enough time to fit. Titleist has gone from demos to Titleist Thursdays to now supplying trained fitters for specific sessions with a deposit to ensure attendance. Clubs and retailers can do their own fittings but with a separate fee structure.

I finally got my reservation for a fitting in March at River Falls. Spoke with Travis S. PGA pro at River Falls on this idea. Can’t wait.
Thanks Titleist for sending your pros out to help us with our game.
    Hit them well,

I just signed up today for April 19th fitting at our local course with a Titleist fitter been waiting long time for them to have a local outdoors fitting. 100 bucks for fitting will go toward the price of the driver I cannot wait. Thank you Titleist again :-)

When I got fitted for my Vokey's at a local club, the $100 fitting fee was applied to my purchase. I set my fitting up through the Team Titleist email when we were notified the SM9's were available for fitting and it noted that the fee would be credited to purchases on the day of the fitting:

"Our Fitting Professionals will provide you with a one-on-one tour-quality fitting that is specifically curated to optimize your game. As a valued Team Titleist member, your $100 event fee will be credited to any Titleist product purchase made that day."

I'd ask when you arrive, but my rep, when figuring up my price, showed me the $100.00 deduction from the final amount.
