I am planning to order a 910 D3 8.5 with the RIP 70 shaft soon and had some questions about the flex. I currently play with a custom I15 8 degree (WRX) in which the head is bent 1 degree open and plays to 7.5 with a UST mamiya axiscore red 69 stiff tipped 1 inch. It took me three different shaft changes to get this shaft flex right for my swing and I don't want to go through the same experience with the 910. The RIP lowers my launch and my spin stays pretty similar (low) which I am looking for from the 910 compared to my current setup. During my fitting with the 910 my SS was around 106 to 110 but increased to 114 a couple of times when I went after it. I was using the RIP 60S and felt that I was at it's limit. I am looking for feedback to get the RIP 70 flex in between a stiff and a X stiff. I best guess would be to tip a stiff but by how much? 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch???

    Thanks!

I would not recommend getting the Rip 70 shaft and instead, get the exact same setup with the Red 69 tipped 1".  All things being equal, the same tipping and the 910 driver in C-1 or D-1 setting should be solid.

Ryan-Are you saying that because of his existing (or former at this point) shaft or because the results from the RIP will not be as good.
