if you were to bend the cb's( or any other club for that matter) what effects will that have on the club ? will the sole need ground? I think that would increase the bounce? Am I correct or way off?

Bounce changes on a 1 to 1 ratio with loft adjustment. Add loft=add bounce !!

Chris,
If you bend the irons to add loft then you would be effectively increasing the bounce angle to the club. If you bend irons to take off loft (deloft) then you would be decreasing the bounce of the club. Every degree you bend the club for loft you are effectively adding/decreasing the bounce by the same. Hope this helps.
ibending stronger will decrease bounce

when you change the loft of the club you will also change the bounce of the clubhead, you may or may not want to grind the sole. It depends on what you want the overall playablity of the club to be for you. I would be careful with this!!!
