    Frankie,

The numbers vary based on your clubhead speed, launch angle and ball spin.  There's many different ways to hit it 290.  My recommendation is to go get fitted by a fitter who has a launch monitor to dial in the 910 D Driver you need for your particular swing.  If your hitting the ball 290, your probably going to need launch angle close to 12-14 degrees and ball spin in the range of 2100-2200 rpm.  But go get fit to be precise to get the right driver for you, it's worth it.   Good Luck!

I would go get fitted. I see you already have the 910, I would take your driver in and have it fitted, basically the pro would tune the driver for you. That is unless you know how to do it, with 16 positions I would not be able to do it my self. I am signed up for a fitting in 2 weeks and I am very excited to have the driver fitted for me, hopefully producing more fairways in reg. Good luck

There is optimum launch angle and ball spin with respect to ball speed.  It also depends on what you want to do in terms of maximum carry and/or roll for different weather and course condition too.  Some is just personal preferences.  The best is go to a fitter and put yourself on a launch monitor and discuss with your fitter.

If you carry it 290...that's already pretty good!

In general there are optimal numbers depending upon launch, spin and most importantly...ball speed.

I would say...if you hit the ball more than 160mph, spin rates below 2900 rpms are optimal.
