What would be the effect of softstepping a KBS tour stiff 2X in my irons. How close to regular would that be and is it advisable to do so.

Softstepping will launch the ball higher like a lower kick shaft. I wouldn't recommend it. Try a shaft fitting and they can tell you what shaft you need and thus go from there. Btw, why are you softstepping?

Soft stepping twice will take about 10 cycles off per shaft...probably going from a 6.5, to 5.5, all things being equal. Your launch will in theory rise as well.
However...we usually don't softstep twice in irons...only wedges to maintain weight and enhance a softer feel.

Why would you want to do that and what flex are you looking for?
