Choosing a shaft

  1. Hi, I am currently looking at a Tsi2 Driver and trying to determine the best shaft for me. I have a loaner club with the Tensi AV 65 Flex S shaft.

I'm interested in a low ball flight and low spin shaft, but want to try a regular flex shaft.

    Any suggestions?

Ideally you should go to an outdoor fitting and try several. Otherwise the Smoke Black should be a lower launch lower spin choice. Fujikura Ventus is a good choice but I don't know if you can get it with that club, and it probably carries a premium.

Test out a PX HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX in a 5.5 Flex if you can get your hands on one. The 5.5 is theoretically an R flex, but feels firmer than most other brand's R flexes, IMO. ( I play a Tensei stiff in all my TSi hybrid, fairway and driver, at least partially because the HZRDUS 6.0 feels a bit too firm for my liking. Of course, I've been playing Tensei shafts for awhile now, even before the TSi line came out, so maybe I'm just comfortable with them.) The HZRDUS is a low launch, low spin shaft.
