I am planning on getting fit for clubs, I guess my question would be is titleist Thursday(100) fitting. Actually by a Club fitter or a titleist fitter?

Titleist Thursdays are done by a Titleist Fitter. They are a wonderful & educational experience. I've been to several & use them for my club fitting when purchasing new clubs. There have been some years a club didn't exceed my current clubs so I stayed with what I had. Like the 917 driver didn't produce as well as my 915 did. Same of the 818 Hybrids vs my 816 H1 hybrids.

Check with local clubs. We don’t have regular Thursday sessions but there are scheduled fittings by Titleist fitters. I’m finding them through their newsletters. Although I scheduled time with my regional site to check the TSi line

There is a new twist to Titleist Thursdays this year. There now is a $100 fee for the fitting but the fee will go directly towards a same day club purchase from the fitting.

Thank you, I been reading the irons are going to be changing this year. So would it make more sense to wait until July for that? I want to get fit for the drivers and hybrids.

I hate how they changed it this year. I agree that it does not have to be every Thursday but every now and then would be great. They did it for free in the month of March at a course in Indianapolis but stopped once April started. Unfortunately, the course that offers the fitting is not where I would be purchasing my clubs from.

I like my Titleist fitter. I have used him for a number of years. Titleist Thursdays are conducted by Titleist Product Specialists, who specialize in fittings. They work at fitting centers and do demos at clubs/courses in their particular assigned areas, which as is our area could be an entire state. They are well trained fitters by Titleist are the best at fitting. Ours has been around over twenty years and is highly respected. When he fitted me with the 917D2 11.25* Fujikura Tour 64 Speeder in September 2016 he did an outstanding job. Not only did it far exceed my 915D2 10.50 but also the new TS when it came out. I will be 75 in September, my carry is 225, clubhead speed 93mph, launch 14*, ball speed 132mph, and sometimes reaches 240-250 depending on conditions. With age, the distances may have lowered. Plan on checking out (comparing) the new TSI with a Fujikura shaft sometime this summer. He has always told me if he cannot get another ten yards from a new driver, we will not change. I completely trust him and we changed my irons when the T300s came out because of the new distance and accuracy. A good fitter is based on trust and results.
