LEFTY 910 Fitting- the worst

    I just dont know why life is so hard as a lefty golfer, lol.

    I have been to numerous Golfsmiths, golf galaxys, "fitting bags" at country clubs and I just cant get fitted.

    I know my swing speed is 115mph, high spin and high launch.  I have played Titleist drivers in junior and college golf.

    I need an extra stiff shaft, but first off most places dont even have a titleist D3 in lefty to try, Let alone the Oban Devotion 7 shaft I want to get.

    I am in Huntington, NY on Long Island and there are no fitting places that would have the gear for me to try thats within reasonable driving distances..............just pull the trigger on the 910 D3 with my standard 8.5 degree and Oban Devotion 7 X shaft?

    I can certainly relate to your woes. I, also, am a lefty, and had a bad experience with my Titleist fitting in the UK, However, I was kindly recompensed by Titleist for their errors in my fitting. I eventually went to an Independent fitter to get fitter, who had a great range of shafts in X flex, unfortunately he didn't have a Titleist Driver on hand, so we had to kinda take a chance, based on his unbiased experience. Fortunately for me when I combined the Fubuki K 60X with my 910, it worked great, so I guess I was lucky in that respect.

     

    But I feel for you, especially if there isn't a fitter of any kind within driving distance for you. Maybe Titleist can help you out by sending the head/shafts that you would like to try to your nearest Titleist account holder, so that you can test a few head/shaft combos. Guess thats the only way forward for you.

     

    But I wish you well, and hope you can get to test the equipment that you would like to.

    Hi Kyle,  Pete's Golf shop is the closest Advanced FittingWorks Center to you.  All AFWC's have every head that we offer including LH D3's and the Oban Devotion 7 X shaft.  Pete does conduct the fiting inside, but after the fit, you will be able to borrow the driver to "demo" on the course.  You can give Woody a call at:  516-248-6891 to set up an appointment and get the details.

    We also have a Regional fitting center at Sleepy Hollow where they also have all the LH heads and a complete array of fitting shafts The fitter is Kevin Sprecher and his number is:  914.941.3062
