Does outdoor facility make a difference?

    I was in a local Edwin Watts store a few months back and a Titleist fitter happened to be there for anyone interested in getting fit for clubs.  A new driver had been in the back of my mind for a while and no one else was hitting so I spoke with him and ended up spending the better part of an hour hitting balls on their indoor simulator.  Since I wasn't going to buy then, the fitter wrote everything down for me.

    My question is.........now that I'm closer to pulling the trigger (convincing the wife) on a new driver and know that I want the Titleist D3, would it be any benefit to go to a local outdoor facility and do the fitting process again?  Or should I just order what we ended up with at the Watts fitting?      Thanks,

    NIck, Here is the BEST way to get fitted - hitting outdoors, using a launch monitor, hitting real Pro V1 golf balls and being fitted by a trained fitter who is also a good instructor. This way you can see ball flight and you know you are using your golf course ball ( not a range ball) And, if your fitter is also a good instructor he can give you a bit of a tip or tell you how your swing is affecting the launch and spin numbers.
       You can get on the locator service on the Titleist web site to find a facility that meets these criteria. Good luck.
