The one club I use more than any other in the bag, is the only one I haven't been fit for.  Doesn't make much sense, does it?  LIke most blokes, I picked one out, rolled a few putts, made some and decided, this is it.  But of course, I don't really know if it truly was the best choice.

Is there a Cameron fitter in Connecticut or Rhode Island where I could find out for sure what is the best fit?  Or would the local Titleist rep be able to help dial that in?

    Thanks,

    George

Hi George,  I sent a note out to our reps in the Northeast area asking for a recommendation for a putter fitter in your area.  They said that although it is a bit of a drive -  Kevin Sprecher is a highly qualified putter fitter and he is over at Sleepy Hollow.  His number is:914.941.3062.

Thanks - that would be a bit of a drive, I'll have to see if I can make some time to get over there.  If I can't, and out of curiosity, if I were to run into the rep at my home course, would he be able to offer any advice based on my stroke?  Or am I really just better off going to a fitter.

If the rep is at your home course, he would definitely be able to help you with the selection of the putter based on your stroke and what head shape you prefer.

In the meantime George, be sure to check out "The Art of Putters" selection guide (link below) if you have not already.  There is a lot of great information that might help you come to a conclusion on your own - nobody knows your stroke better than you!

Thanks Brice, that was very informative. When the pressure is on, I tend to push putts - a flare neck may be the thing I need to investigate.
