Shafts for AP2 Irons

    I have a friend who is wanting to purchase AP2 irons but doesn't know what kind of shafts to get in them.  He is debating if he should get stiff or regular flex.  I don't know his club head speed but I would say it is pretty average - not fast but not slow either.  Do you have any comments or recommendations for the best shafts for AP2 irons?  Thanks!

    And this time of year - a fitter with a launch monitor outdoors.  For $1000, make sure they are the best clubs for him they can be.  Custom order and stock floor models at a big box forTitleist are all the same price per club.  It's not like they are a leftover set from 3 models back for $250.

    Absolutely see a fitter. In addition to the proper flex, they will set you up for the proper length and lie angle, and based on the results, you might choose a different head as well.  Good luck!
