swoosh VR-s VS. 910D?

    I've had a 9.5 swoosh SQ driver for 4 years with a Proforce V2 stick (and I suck with it)

    I went and go fitted by swoosh with the trackman and was blown away at what the new adjustable clubs can do. They fitted me into the VS-r 8.5, turned down to 6.5, 4 degree open, Xstiff Ahina 80 tipped .5"  My numbers were great with it. Launch angle consistently 10.5-11, Ball speed 163-166mph, RPMs 24-2600 and I had a 5-8 yd draw on the ball. I loved it. I was hitting it on avg 310yds. 

    Ready... I've never had a Titleist club besides my SC putter. I just wonder what they could do for my game. I am a 12 handicap, and went out with my local pro's driver 8.5 swoosh Vr with a Oban Kiyoshi 65 05 and was just murdering the white ball as far as I wanted. Drove 2 par 4's and shot 75.

    I want to go to a Regional fitting center where they have a trackman that records your ball flight down range. I really think it would be worth it considering I shot 75,78 with my pros driver. I play enough, 4 18 hole rounds a week. And just want to get better. I need something with Low launch, low spin, low torque. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I got too technical, sorry if I left something out. First time poster.

    First of all, if you hi the driver 310 and you're still a 12 you need to be thinking about other aspects of your game.  Secondly, I would advise you to at least look at the R11s and compare the three because those are the best driver from those big 3 companies.  You might also want to look at the Ping i20.

    While that might be your opinion, the truth is:

    TaylorMade is the #1 driver on Tour.  However, those players are not playing the same TaylorMade driver you can buy.  Even the "TP" model you can buy is not the same head they use on tour.  So, to say they are the best is just opinion.  

    Titleist however doesn't use this type "Slick Willie" tactic.  The Titleist 910 D2/D3 you pick up at your local "Authorized Reseller" is the exact same head a tour player will use.

    Now, with that said, the Tour players do have shaft options that we don't have access to.  But, this is the same for all brands of drivers.

    Oh I'm well aware that I am a long driver of the ball. It is not uncommon for me to be 50-80 yds out in the fairway and take a bogey because I chilli dip my wedges. I waste 5-7 shots a round not hitting the green from inside 100 yds.  And I am actively working on my wedges and learning what to do where. 

    When I do mishit my driver I will fan it off high and right - a common block of mine because of the hooks that I used to have to play. Thus I end up blocked behind a tree or in another fairway / green / tee box. I want a driver that I can be confident with to aim and shape how I want according to the hole / wind / course conditions. I'm not great, but I know the mechanics of golf for the mainstream golfer. And I want to know when I do mishit it - I'll still be playing from my hole. Thats all I'm trying to accomplish - if I can stay in my fairway - I can be a 4-5. I've been away from the game of golf the passed couple of years because I play football and my back was messed up - so I'm just now getting back into it. I only said I'm a 12 because I am right now - I can easily play to a 4-5 though.
