I've pretty much established that 44.5" is my driver length and lie angle is 58.5 (going to a Titleist 910D2 or D3 makes the most sense when I want to go out and splurge on a new one because there is only .5" diff between your bone stock club vs 1.25-1.5" vs other vendors' bone stock).   I've had a 975D and 983K before with neutral 10.5 loft set to 44.5 with Winn Excel RF grip (distance not tremendous but, for most part, dead straight with a moderate trajectory).  Also, I've had good success with 980F fairways using the bone stock shaft cut 1/2" short with a Winn Excel RF grip.

At this point, I am enjoying my best driving ever so it is quite possible I'll be taking the plunge at tax time (also the 910H 27* might be on the radar screen at that time).   I've tried a 909D2 and they feel great but didn't have the $400 to spend on a driver at the time.  With the other vendors, their overly long shafts feel like hitting a rubber band (even with a stiff).

I have AP1 6-PW (DG R300 shafts) and four Vokey SM3 wedges and am enjoying great iron play and short game.  I play to a 12 handicap.  Swing speed, for the most part is about 82-85 mph [I can get as high as 90 mph but, for the most part swing pretty smooth and conservative - I rely on my 215 lbs on 6'1" frame to provide the "m" in the e=mc^2 equation (where "c" is some equivalent of swing speed) and the distance].

My reference driver is as follows (this is the one I have zeroed in; I've hit it as far as 270 yards but generally between 220-240):

Burner 2007 HT Draw M flex Reax 50g shaft with Winn Lite Dri Tac 23g jumbo grip (13* senior flex but may actually play more like regular because the club length is 1.25" shorter than stock).  This maintains swingweight.   I went to a 13* draw driver because my strongest shot with a 10.5 neutral driver has been a power fade (dead straight shots tended to have a high trajectory) and I actually did a side by side with my driver vs three R11s (stiff, regular and M flex); the stiff went dead straight with a neutral clubface (with some distance loss) and the other two flexes didn't offer any improvement in distance.

Would a 12* head be a good start and what would be the closest match on shaft and available stock grips?
