  1. Hi,

I'm probably going in for a fitting later this summer, but currently looking into just trying out some options at the store.

My current setup with the 910D2 9.5* and Aldila RIP Stiff produces pretty low ball flight...it hangs in there and can carry pretty far, but likely due to the high backspin that i'm producing...

At around 108MPH Swing speed, I launch at around 9-11 degrees, with approx 3300rpm spin...I think that my spin numbers are probably too high, and my launch is probably slightly low...

Would switching to a D3 head help this? And also switching to a higher launching shaft such as GD AD Di6 help?

    Thanks!

have you tried making adjustments with your driver..changing your settings..thats what those are there for.

Hi GTi 3: What setting are you i with the driver?
  4. Gamed at A1 last week. Changed it to B2 yesterday to try. Also changed my setup slightly...

Currently launching around 10-11 degrees, 155ish ball speed, and mid to upper 2000's spin...

Very nice. If you keep it at 10 and 2900ish, I'm pretty happy without seeing you in person.
  6. Hi GTI 3, I used a 909 D2, 10.5 degree with the Diamana Blue Board 65. Then, I went to get a driver fitting. I can't say enough good things about a Trackman fitting. It was amazing! It tracked my numbers and we tried both the D2 and D3 heads and about 6 different shafts. I ended up with a 910 D3, 9.5 degree and an Aihina 72 stiff shaft. Now, what I use is totally irrelevant to you because all of your numbers in Trackman will be different than mine. The great thing about Trackman is that you will be able to find exactly the right head and shaft for you. Don't even worry or think about different options until you get a fitting using Trackman. Do it as soon as you can. I think you will be very happy you did.
  7. I currently hit the ahina 72 gram (whiteboard) and absolutely love it, the heavy weight allows for higher ball flight, and my spin rate dropped increasingly after getting it. It may take some time though to find the correct shaft since high ball flight and low spin rate is a very hard thing to get.
