  1. I am currently in the market for a new driver.  I have narrowed it down to an 8.5 D3 clubhead, but i'm having a lot of difficulty in finding the right shaft.

I don't remember all of the data from the launch monitor, but my ball speed was about 185 with a swing speed of 120+.  None of the Titleist dealers or reps carry any X-stiff shafts other than the Diamana 'ahina 72g.  I really enjoyed hitting the Project X black in another driver, but i'm not sure if the lighter weight would be good or bad for me and i can't compare the two with the Titleist head.

If anyone has some advice on if the Project X black 7.0 versus the Diamana 'ahina i would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Jake,  Have you fitter call us at Team Titleist or give us a call and we can recommend a fitter with shafts that will be able to help you.  The PX black (in our robot testing) had a softer tip than the Ahina, but we don't have that shaft in our matrix and only the 7.0 has passed our shaft durability testing.

Are you looking at the real Ahina or the Titleist version? The project X is a great shaft combination with the Titleist drivers and should be a good option for you. It's very stable and would bring some consistency to you since you have such a high swing speed. You may also try a little heavier shaft to help with transition because you may not need a lighter shaft due to the fact you already generate a lot of clubhead speed.
