    I have been looking into a new driver shaft for my 910 D3. I am considering the Graphite Design Tour AD I 7s. My question is regarding the Graphite you get from Titleist. Is it the same as the others available? I have noticed there is a substantial price difference between Titleist and others with Titleist being less expensive. Is the one offered by Titleist a lesser quality shaft from Graphite Design?

    All shafts that we offer for our 910 metalwoods have to undergo a pretty strenuous shaft testing procedure before we offer them for sale.  If we offer the shaft, it is  the same quality aftermarket shafts as in the general marketplace.  

     But, that being said, the DI 7 (and this is the only one) that we offer is a slightly beefed up model than the one that they sell to the general market.  The specs are exactly the same as the general market, but it has a better and more durable structure.

    Hi there,

    I just ordered the 910 D3 with the GD TOUR AD DI 7X and considering the response in this discussion I am concerned a bit. Am I getting a true aftermarket shaft from Graphite Design or is this a "made for" Titleist shaft like the Ahina? Obviously is sounds great that it is better and has a more durable structure, but I still hope I'm getting a true aftermarket shaft.
