  1. Do any of you have any knowledge the stock shafts that come with the new AP1 irons compared to the upgraded shafts that are offered?  Are they worth the upgrade?  I'm going to a fitting today and just want to have an idea of what to look at to sound knowledgable to a certain degree.  It seems there are so many option out there it makes my head spin.

Joe, I am currently playing AP1s with R NS Pro 105T shafts. I am 65 and am beginning to exerience the effects of arthritis in my fingers and elbows. I am thinking that I might need to start playing with graphite shafts to help with the vibration. The problem is that I really prefer the feel and control that I get with steel. Do you have any recommendations for a graphite replacement. If so, what is the tip diameter and is it tapered or parallel? Thanks for you help. Scott Brady

The Dynalite Gold XP shaft is an EXCELLENT shaft, which is the stock AP1 shaft. I've done quite a few fittings and that shaft works very well with the AP1 head. Depending on your needs/swing, perhaps an upgraded shaft would be worth the extra cost. You'll never know unless you get properly fit.
