I've been playing DGS300 in X-protos for some time but felt I needed something less heavy. The KBS C-taper felt really good in the AP2 712s and discussing with my custom fitter they beat Project X, Nippon and Dynamic Gold in feel by miles... he put me in a Stiff and I hit it super but I've been reading a lot of how the Stiff in C-tapers frequencies out a bit more stiff than S300. My avg swing speed with a 6 iron is 88 mph but moderate tempo. It's a lighter shaft (10 grams lighter) so my ss will be higher but will I loose distance because of the added stiffness? I really felt as I hit the C-taper at least half a club longer but I could be wrong. Pondering if maybe I should have soft stepped them once... they feel very smooth though... Can I handle the S?
