  1. I currently play a 909d2 with an UST V2 proforce reg (96 mph swing speed)  and just got fitted for a 910D2 for an RIP 60 stiff. and picked up about 7-10 yds and a tad better ball flight.     I am looking at either reshafting my 909f fairways from the stock gray stiff shafts I hate that balloon high and a little right or upgrading to 910f's.    If I go with RIP's in the fairway wood does the RIP S play about the same as the UST R flex or just stick with and R flex in an RIP 60.      With these lower torque shafts I assume I can error more to the softer flex without a control problem?

Same dilema with a new 910 hybrid.

Any advice would be great I play reg iron shafts Nippon 950's and they were fit to my swing also if that helps

Testing the RIPs in the 910F heads will certainly be a good place to start at lower lofts. I would also highly recommend testing the Titleist Ahina fairway and hybrid shafts. I would stay in the stiff flex range for both the RIP and the Titleist Ahinas. The UST is low torque, but it's typically not found in regular flex fitting/testing scenarios and I would rather you test before you buy.

Although I am somewhat partial to the Proforce V2 shafts, given I use them in all my woods and hybrids, I completely agree with Ryan.  As Ryan, I would recommend that you test all shafts you're considering.  However, I would go a step further.  If possible, test the shafts out at a place you can actually see your ball flight and carry, versus relying on feedback of simulators (if applicable).

Simulators cannot be fully trusted.  According to the simulator found at one of the local big box specialty stores, I carried a 15* 910F over 260 yards.  While somewhat proud of what was displayed on the screen, realistically, I am nowhere near that long with a 3 wood.  That's more driver distance for me.
