    I am looking to get a new set of CB irons this spring but have a question about how the iron shafts will play. I need +1/2 inch shafts and am wondering how that additional length affects launch on project x shafts. I currently use X100's and like the flight but they are a bit heavy with a swing weight of D8. I have been thinking the project X shaft in a 6.5 would lighten up the shaft but don't want to sacrifice the lower launch of TT. How does adding length to an iron shaft affect the launch properties?

    Addam,

    Your X-100's at half long, did you get those straight from Titleist? I ordered 712 AP2 with +1/2 x-100 and got them at almost d-7. Big let down. D-8 must be crazy heavy.

    1/2" shouldn't change too much in launch and spin, as long as the swingweight isnt 4-5 notches off...

    I currently use PX at 1/2" long. PX definitly launch higher than DG, but they are still low spin. When I went from DG to PX, all I noticed is a slightly higher ball flight and a more playable overall weight.
