I have a 910F 3 wood and want to change the shaft on it, it currently has a kail'il 75 stiff shaft on it and I want to put a x-stiff shaft on it.  I'm not sure what my swing speed is but I know that it is over 100 mph. currently I hit my 3 wood with a low trajectory and would like to go to a mid trajectory. I haven't changed the lie or loft because I don't have the tool so its at A1. Do you have any advise what shaft I should change to, I've been looking at the kail'il 75 x-stiff or the project x 7A3 or 7B3.

  2. Hi a stiffer shaft is not going to lift your ball flight from low trajectory to mid trajectory. If anything the stiffer shaft will reduce spin and that will tend to lower the ball flight even more. Before you spend anything on another shaft get the surefit wrench and try increasing the loft on the 3 wood to 16.5 deg. See if that gives you the mid ball flight you are looking for.If not you are probably going to need a shaft in the fairway that spins the ball a bit more to assist launch. One that will definitely work well in doing this is the Graphite Design ADDj however its expensive

The loft on the head will have more impact on the ball flight than the shaft. On reason at your swing speedwith the current shaft t that the ball flight is low could be due to the impact being low on the clubface, ( your club does not get to the bottom of the ball at impact). i.e your swing or ball position. Put impact tape on the head and check where you are striking the ball

    .Hope this helps Chris T.
