Can a new set of Ap2 irons be ordered with the new project x PXi custom shafts?  I looked on the Titleist website, but did not see the new PXi shafts as a custom shaft offering.

Can someone please let me know if/when this will be a custom order option? I'm anxiously awaiting to replace my current 710 Ap2's with the new 712's.

    TIA

The Pxi shafts are completing the process for being added to our custom matrix of shafts.  We anticipate being able to offer them in the next 3-4 weeks.

what are the main differences in playability between the two shafts?? I currently have the Project x 6.0 shafts in my irons and love them. I would definitely consider a change if it was worth it. Thanks

It is my understanding the new PXi shafts are lighter, which should allow for a little bit more ball speed (carry distance).  Also, the new shafts have a satin finish and new graphics. I suppose they are trying to keep up with KBS.  I decided i didn't want to wait any longer and i went ahead and purchased a new set with KBS C-Taper shafts.

do you find you get more distance with the KBS shafts?? I currently like the ball flight of the Project X shafts but, of course, am looking for more distance. Would I be right in that I may get a few yards more if I switched to KBS, maybe the Reg + shafts instead of stiff (as I am getting older now .... haha!) ..... i.e. lighter shaft ='s greater clubhead speed??? let me know your thoughts

Hi Cathi, I am also keen to have these shafts, but I have been told Titleist are not happy with the fitting in the AP2's and have withdrawn them, please can you confirm this and if so when they will be back in the fitting centers? Thanks Graham
