  1. Hi all,

I have now adjusted into my new 712 MBs 4-pw with the kbs c-taper xflex shafts and love the feel over my old x100s.

I am now keen to replace my wedges and am a slightly unsure on shaft.

Obviously I am aware of the 'softer shaft' practice which is recommended and was wondering how the KBS Hi-rev shafts will perform in Xflex (xflex I know but it is a wedge shaft) over say the S400s.

My wedges will probably go 52.08, 60.10, 64.07 and my favored shot is a knock down (hence no 56). I like to see a low launch high spin flight with my wedge shots.

You may prefer the KBS Wedge (Rather than the Hi Rev) as it's designed to launch lower. Hi Rev may say "x Flex" but is very soft. I would also potentially recommend 8 iron Ctapers shafts in your wedges as well as it seems like you are a high speed type of player. They would play softer at wedge lengths. However, there is precedence for s400s in your wedges and Ctaper in irons: see Steve Stricker!
  3. Thanks Ryan, am assuming the KBS wedge is the KBS black? (and I thought this was the same as the KBS tour?) Maybe a compromise would be a kbs wedge in the 52, hi-rev in the 60 & 64 (I don't want distance in these) I have however, seem that Adam Scott plays HI Rev in his 54 & 60 (from golf digest) and so thought they would hold up to full swings? As you can probably tell I'm keen to keep that 'kbs feel!'

Very nice. KBS Wedge I think was originally black, but now you can go black in the KBS Tour as well. I like the compromise if you swing the 60/64 maybe 3/4 max. RC
