I'm travelling to San Francisco in June 2012 (to watch US Open & play a few local courses).  I don't currently carry/use a 3 wood but am considering adding either a hybrid (910H 17 deg) or 3 wood (910F) to my bag.  Obviously this will depend on fitting results.  Can someone recommend somewhere in San Fran where I can get a decent fitting & where I will be able to purchase on the day of fitting (baring the need for custom shaft)?  I cant really wait for a club to be shipped from Titleist as I'm only in the US for 10 days.

Golf Mart in South San Francisco is probably your best bet. They've got a wide selecton of everything and an excellent testing area where you can demo the 910h and 910f models.

Our FittingWorks van will probably be in the San Francisco area in June, but their schedule has not been set yet. We would recommend going down to Palo Alto to see Kevin Lozares and his number is: 650-856-0881. If you are fit in the beginning part of your vacation, there should be time to order custom clubs and have them delivered to your hotel. If you are fit by the FittingWorks van, they will be able to build your clubs on the van either the same day or the next day.

Andrew, if you can make it out to Palo Alto and get fit from Kevin or the Tour Van I'd highly recommend either. I've had the opportunity to fit my wedges off of the Tour Van and it was definitely an exciting and memorable experience. I had a lot of fun talking about different options, gapping my distances, and just going through the fitting process. Kevin fit me for my irons and I haven't looked back since. We worked on everything, from looking at ball speed and spin with reference to ball trajectory, aesthetics and feel. I've also been fit for the 910h and the one thing I must admit, they've got almost every shaft option available. I would prefer that if you wanna get it right that you go see them as opposed to going to Golf Mart. I think that Golf Mart would be good if you're in a rush but if you want the best service, Palo Alto is definitely the way to go. I've ordered custom Titleist from them regularly and my turnaround time is typically 3-4 business days. Thanks for mentioning them, Cathi!
