  1. Hi guys need a little help. I was trying to find an old post about wedge fitting but couldnt. In that post the person's regular irons were fitted to 1 inch longer and 2 degree upright. Many people suggested that he only go about a quarter inch longer and 1 degree upright suggesting that your wedges should be a bit flatter. Here's my question Im thinking of ordering from vokey wedge works soon. My irons right now are a quarter in longer 1 degree upright with Dynamic gold s 300. Should I keep my wedges the same specs a quarter inch longer and 1 degree upright or go standard? Also I would like to put DG spinners in the sand and lob wegde. The post also stated that your wedge flexes should be a little softer. If thats the case what flex should i get in The DG Spinners Wedge or Wedge Plus. Sorry to be so winded. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I would go 1/4 long and standard lie. I always play wedges 1 degree flatter than my irons.

  3. One of the reasons why Mr. Vokey and crew designed the SM4's was because they wanted to offer many various options (as far as loft/bounce/"grind" combos) to help better fit the player for their short game. Getting fit for your wedges is just as important as getting fit for your driver, etc.. You may/may not, need the same specs as your irons.

Typically we see wedges are softer and flatter than the main irons in the bag. So for example, X100 irons will have s400 wedges. S300 irons will have s200 wedges. But everything depends on your needs. A gap wedge may need to play like your irons if you rarely chip and pitch with it. But usually the most lofted wedge can benefit from a softer shaft, and flatter lie. The lofted wedge simply doesn't need the speed required on other shots. The flatter lie helps the wedge lay better on lofted pitches and bunker shots.
