Shafts for new irons

    I recently purchased the new 712 MBs and am trying to decide what shafts to put in them. My old shafts were rifle 7.0 and I hit my irons too high. I'm looking for a shaft that will result in a lower more penetrating ball flight. Any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Andy,

    I suggest you try the Project X, KBS C-Taper S+, or a DG X100 shaft. These shafts have a stiffer tip section and are designed to lower your ball flight.

    Something else to take into consideration is the type of ball you use and the club head.

    Have you ever been on a launch monitor? If not, I strongly suggest you find a local club fitter who uses one and zero in on the cause of the high ball flight.
