  1. Ever since I turned 50, we have been going on an annual golf trip during the 2nd week of June. It started with 4 friends going to Treetops in Michingan. Now, we don't go anywhere near the States and we stay in Ontario, and we are up to 12. Fortunately, with our membership with GolfNorth we have access to 27 courses. We go up to Batteaux Creek on the 1st day, and then drive to Barrie. Play 2 rounds at Settler's Ghost, and then one round on the 3rd day, this time at the Club at Bondhead. Next year we are deleting Batteaux Creek. We were really disappointed in the condition of the course, and we are eager to play both the North and South Courses at the Club at Bondhead. We always threw $40 into the pot and winner take all. This year with more guys, we had money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. With more money comes more problems. Some of our guys don't play a lot of tournament golf and there were a few controversial drops lets say. I want to keep the peace, and everyone currently gets along really well. I already modified a few rules, like treating every lost ball as a lateral, rather than dealing with drops, OB, and going back to re-load. So my challenge moving forward is to we just play for fun without any money, or do we continue with my modified rules system, or do we go tournament mode, and correct guys when they don't know the rules. I want to keep it fun and stress free, but the winners received $144 each this year. Not a lot of money, but something. I have 12 months to come up with a solution. Let me know what others do on their trips. It was never a problem in the past, but it is starting to become one, and I want to address it head on so we can continue to enjoy our annual trip. Thanks, guys.
