  1. I play the Titleist 712 AP2s with Nippon Modus 3 Tour 120 shafts. The shafts in my PW has become slightly bent so I need to order a new one. However I have found it almost impossible to find these shafts anywhere. Golfworks appears to sell them but 37" length is the shortest length available and the AP2 PW is 35.75".

Does anyone know how I can go about buying a new shaft for my PW? Is there a way I can order a new shaft through titleist? I talked to the PGA professional who fitted me for these irons and he said he could send it back to titleist to repair it themselves but that it would take weeks. So I would rather just order the shaft and find a club repair shop but finding this shaft is next to impossible.

The 37" shaft from Golfworks is the correct replacement- the additional length allows the club to be built over standard length- find a local fitter and he can cut the new shaft to match your current shaft length- installed with grip the total length will remain the same as original length.

Probably, the shortest length of a taper tip shaft is 37". The shaft is then butt trimmed to final playing length. Using a raw shaft at 37" allows custom length up to 1 1/4" longer than standard on the P.

It seems you found the right shaft. Assuming you don't need tipping, after the shaft is attached into the club head, then the shaft will be cut down to length so it will play at 35.75".

I had my fitter order my Nippon wedge shafts, but he was also an independent fitter and teacher that built clubs also. I ordered my AP2’s through Titleist with the Nippon 120’s, but he ordered the wedge shafts.

I would think your pro shop or a fitter/builder could order one. Sorry I couldn’t help, good luck!!
