I've been playing for over 30 years and got my first Ace. Ironically I wasn't playing very well all day, but on the 12th hole my luck changed. My Titleist Pro V1 performed beautifully and found the hole from about 125 out using my Pitching Wedge.

Something like a 17F and 21f/h are a good combo that allows for 4 wedges. You may lose 5-7 yd with a 17f vs 15f but the former is easier to hit off the deck.

Another thing to try it to while you are practicing envision yourself on the first hole of your try out round. Try to recreate the nerves and deal with it while you are by yourself on the practice range. Play the whole round during your practice sessions…
