Gene, The stripes on the butt end are just Aldila manufacturer codes for sorting. Puring as we know it did not exist in the mid '90s. If the shafts you have exactly match your set makeup, just install them. It's your preference as to logo on top or underneath…
I have been able to concentrate with the "usual noises", mowers, train whistles after they have started, maintenance workers on the course ... I still get mad when someone two holes over makes a bad shot and swears loud enough to hear in the next town…

I just hit a hole in one on #9, a PAR 3 at Junction Golf Course. I have played in San Antonio, San Angelo, Sonora, Junction, TX, plus Pebble Beach, CA. This was the 4th hole in one I have made in my lifetime!
