• Re: Drivers old vs new

If your new shaft is a standard 44" then the 43.5" is close to a driver shaft.  One other interesting fact that I just learned about fairway woods and hybrids.  USGA does not regulate the thickness of the faces of the heads, only on drivers,

  • Re: Golf Balls

Multi-layered balls are so different in construction than the 90/100 compression balls that the compression designation wouldn't convey meaningful information anymore. Other than the low-end 2 piece distance balls, there may not be any 100 compression…
  • No Time to Revel in the Glory

We have a neighborhood Sunday morning standing tee time at 6:05am, so we can play a quick nine holes and still make it to church on time. Typically anywhere from 4-8 people show up to play. This particular Sunday it looked like I would be the only one…

  • Re: Custom shaft

Not sure if the $350 is the cost of the shaft, or the upcharge for the shaft. Exotic shafts do get expensive - the last quote I saw for the 40 g driver shaft was in the 4 figure range. So an exotic at $750 w/o a stock shaft is believable. I'm pretty…

-60.07 also designed for sliders that want a little more bounce for bunker play.

    I hope this…

  • Hole in One

I hit my first hole in one yesterday on a 297 yard par 4. It was a blind tee shot to the green. Couldn't find my ball, than looked around and there it was in the hole albatross

  • 2nd One in 24 years in the same golf league

My first hole-in-one was 22 years ago in league play on Hole #17 on the West Course @ Raisin River Golf Club in Monroe, MI. On 8-26-14 I hit my 2nd hole-in-one in the same league but on a different hole. This time it was still the West Course but Hole…

  • Re: 913 D3 driver fitting - Tour Ad BB7 benefit over stock Phenom 70

    Thanks Cathi and Luke!

I took a trip to Oregon for work and was able to demo the BB7.  The shaft did what I was hoping for with a 250 RPM reduction in spin.  This in combination with Cathi suggestion of moving to a 8.5 driver reduced my spin by a total…

    I have three hybrids in my bag.  913H 17*, 910H 19* adjusted to a 20.5* and a 913H 24*.  Love them.  Then I go to my irons which begin with a five iron 26*.......my three wood is a 15* adjusted to a 14.25*......and my driver is a 910D3 9.5* adjusted to a…
