• RE: Thoughts on 3 wood and hybrid.

While both are 21 degrees, they are not fully interchangeable.
The obvious difference is the standard length of the 7 wood shaft is longer than the hybrid. A generalization is it will be longer.
If you tend to drive in the fairway, the 7W maybe preferable…
  • first hole in one.

I was playing in our mens club four man scramble tourney when we went to our par three over the water. The wind was into us at about 20 mph. I was 115 yards out and decided to play a 9 iron due to the wind. I hit my shot and one of my teammates saw that…

  • Sedona Open 2022 Hole in One

The first round of the Sedona Open I found myself in a spot I couldn’t get out of on hole 17. I even told my playing partners I was gonna quit. I changed my mind and was able to finish the hole with an 11. Came back the next day and made a hole in one…

  • RE: Getting Comfortable over the Bal when Putting

I agree with DRoss. Get fitted for your putter. I had been buying off the rack and guessing what I needed. When I finally got serious and disgusted enough with missing 4 footers, I took my SC Concept X to a Titleist putter fitting and WOW... what a difference…
  • RE: London Golf Trip

    Hi,

Now that you are playing Sunningdale you have gone for the best already- nice courses in that area are also Swinley Forest, Walton Health, The Grove, Woburn, Foxhills, Wentworth. Not sure of the Liverpool area but these are good ones around London…
  • Hole in one with a ProVx

It’s been a while since I’ve had a hole in one, but I did last Friday 2/24/2023 on the second hole at River Place Country Club in Austin Texas. I had 137 yards to the pin and hit an easy nine iron one hop spin left and went in. I believe that’s my fourth…

  • RE: Ball Markings

I've never marked a ball. I'm too OCD and if it's crooked, i won't play it..... i know that sounds silly but it's just what it is. Instead, I just make sure no-one else is using an AVX ball the same number as mine and we're all good!…
  • RE: Just played with my new SM9 wedges - wow

Love my SM9 62 degree with M grind for pitches 50 yards and less. Dispersion averages around a measly 2 degrees, but found it too lofted and bouncy for more than 50, or for short pitches and chipping around the green. Just tried out the SM9 60 degree…
