Welcome to the 2017 Masters

Welcome to The Masters!

It’s the greeting that every patron hears as they set foot upon Augusta National Golf Club, and for many, these are the words that signal the unofficial start of the golf season.

And although Mother Nature wasn’t in the mood to fully cooperate during the first day of practice rounds, there were still plenty of sights and sounds for us to capture among the pines.

Check out some of our favorite photos and posts from Day 1 at The Masters and make sure you stay tuned throughout the week for more updates from Augusta.

Photos from Day 1

A staple at many Tour events, the Titleist Tour Van arrived Sunday afternoon to assist Brand Ambassadors throughout practice rounds.

Upon entering the gates, we were greeted by No. 1 tee, Nos. 9 and 18 greens, and the leaderboard that will eventually show us our 2017 Masters champion.

It didn't take us very long to get lost among the beauty of Augusta National, but we knew any turn we made would lead us to another amazing view.

One of the first players we followed Monday was Titleist Brand Ambassador Steve Stricker, who will compete in his 16th Masters Tournament.

Loblolly pines line the fairways of Augusta National. If only trees could talk.

We continued to navigate through Monday's patrons to catch a view of No. 16 green. One may find us sitting on the hill overlooking the 170 yard, par-3.

We then paused on the crosswalk to admire the par-4, seventh, named "Pampas."

Did you know, Amen Corner received its name from Herbert Warren Wind, who used it in a Sports Illustrated article in 1958.

Despite the inclement weather, azaleas still welcomed us to the course.

Speaking of Azalea, we ran into Titleist golf ball loyalist Zach Johnson while he practiced his short game alongside Titleist Brand Ambassador Bill Haas on the par-5, No. 13.

Haas rolls in a few as Titleist golf ball loyalist Ryan Moore watches his line. Haas is making his eighth Masters appearance.

Good luck this week, Bill!

Johnson tees off on No. 14, Chinese Fir, a par-4.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Mackenzie Hughes is making his first Masters appearance this year.

As the afternoon rolled in, play was suspended due to weather.

We can't wait to return to the grounds tomorrow for Day 2 of practice rounds!
