Titleist Golf Ball Players Record 8-Win Worldwide Sweep

It was a global sweep for Titleist golf ball players this weekend, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists combined for eight victories out of eight tournaments staged across the worldwide professional tours. Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 59 wins, more than six times the nearest competitor with 9.

To date this season, the game's finest players have relied on a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball 8,045 times, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 1,099 and more than all competitors combined.

Leading the way this week, it wasn’t a question of a Titleist golf ball loyalist winning the Valero Texas Open on Sunday, it was a matter of which one. Eight of the top 10 players on the leaderboard entering the final round were playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. When it was all said and done, 9 of the top 10 trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success.

At the top of that list, Titleist golf ball loyalist Andrew Landry (Pro V1x) fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s en route to his first career PGA TOUR title. He finished with a 17-under-par 271 victory total, two shots clear of Titleist Brand Ambassador Sean O’Hair (Pro V1) and Titleist golf ball loyalist Trey Mullinax (Pro V1), who was also seeking his first career crown.

Major champions Jimmy Walker (Pro V1x) and Zach Johnson (Pro V1x) rounded out the top 5, while rookie Joaquin Niemann (Pro V1x), playing in his first event as a professional, relied upon his Pro V1x to finish solo 6th.

Mullinax entered the TPC San Antonio history books on Saturday by firing a third round 10-under-par 62 to establish a new course scoring standard. He also set another record by carding a sizzling 29 on the back nine which included two eagles (14, 18), four birdies (10, 12, 16, 17) and two pars (13, 15).

 At this week's Valero Texas Open, Titleist was once again the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 114 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor with 18 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrids (22) and irons (43) category. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (210) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the choice of more players than any other brand with 58 in play.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Alex Levy (Pro V1x) earned his fifth career European Tour title with a one-shot victory at the Trophée Hassan II. Levy closed with a 2-under-par 70 en route to an 8-under-par 280 victory total.

Titleist golf ball loyalists Alexander Björk (Pro V1), Joakim Lagergren (Pro V1) and Mikko Ilonen (pro V1x) were among four players who tied for 3rd place, two shots back.

 Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Trophee Hassan II with 109 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 24.

The win was the 12th for Titleist golf ball players on the 2017-18 European Tour, six times the nearest competitor with 2.

On the LPGA Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Moriya Jutanugarn (Pro V1x) captured the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open for her first career LPGA Tour title.

Jutanugarn closed with a 3-under-par 68 en route to a 12-under-par 272 victory total, two shots clear of two players, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Jin Young Ko (Pro V1x).

 Titleist was the overwhelming most played golf ball at the event with 4 out of every 5 players relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. In fact, 115 players trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 11.

Jutanugarn’s win is the 7th for Titleist golf ball players through the first nine events of the season.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Eric Axley (Pro V1x) earned his second career Web.com Tour title with a three-shot win at the North Mississippi Classic after the event was shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather.

Axley shot a third round 4-under-par 68 on moving day, which vaulted him to a 12-under-par 204 victory total.

Axley previously won the Web.com Tour’s 2005 Rex Hospital Open, as well as the 2006 Valero Texas Open on the PGA TOUR.

 Three players tied for 3rd, including Titleist golf ball loyalists K.H. Lee (Pro V1x) and Sebastian Munoz (Pro V1).

Titleist was the top choice in golf balls with 100 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 18.

 Both teams posted scores of 24-under-par 194 in regulation play in the best-ball format.

In Korea, Titleist golf ball loyalist GaLam Jun (Pro V1x) posted a four-shot victory at the DB Insurance Promi Open to register his first career win on the KPGA Tour. Jun closed with a 6-under-par 66 en route to a 15-under-par 273 victory total.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Hyo Won Park (Pro V1) also fired a final round 66 to finish runner-up. JaeHo Kim (Pro V1x) and WooHyun Kim (Pro V1x)tied for 3rd place, another shot back, as 8 of the top finishers relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

 Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event with 105 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, five times the nearest competitor with 21. In addition, two-thirds of the wedges in play (245) were a Vokey Design model, more than three times the nearest competitor with 69.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Rahil Gangjee (Pro V1x) rallied to win the Panasonic Open, a co-sanctioned Japan and Asian Tour event. Gangjee fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s en route to a 14-under-par 270 victory total.

He finished one shot clear of Titleist golf ball loyalists Jung-Gon Hwang (Pro V1) and Hyung-Sung Kim (Pro V1x) for his second career crown.

 Nine of the 13 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist for their success.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Panasonic Open with 95 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 24.

And finally, on the South African Sunshine Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Bryce Easton (Pro V1x) earned his third career Sunshine Tour title with a one-shot win at the Zimbabwe Open. Easton closed with a spotless 9-under-par 63 en route to a 16-under-apr 272 victory total.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Danie Van Tonder (Pro V1) raced up the leaderboard to finish solo 2nd after firing a final round 7-under-par 65, while Titleist golf ball loyalists Peter Karmis (Pro V1x) and Christiaan Basson (Pro V1) tied for 3rd, another two shots back.

 All seven of the players who finished among the top 5 and ties relied upon Titleist for their success.

Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball in the field of 156 with 121 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 29.
