The Winning Setup: Thongchai Jaidee at the 100th Open de France

Titleist Brand Ambassador Thongchai Jaidee claimed his eighth career European Tour title, capturing the 100th Open de France by four shots.

“This is the biggest win of my career,” said Jaidee, “and my family here this week together just makes it even more special.

Jaidee carded consecutive rounds of 68 at Le Golf National in Paris (site of the 2018 Ryder Cup) en route to an 11-under-par 273 victory total. The 46-year old became the oldest winner in Open de France history.

“I’ve been coming here many, many years,” said the Thai veteran, “and I think especially this week with the centenary edition of the tournament, it's a special week for me to win on one of the toughest courses we play. Everything is absolutely perfect.”

With his winning performance, Jaidee vaults to No. 37 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the Open de France with 101 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19.
