The Players' Choice at the 2019 WM Phoenix Open

The official equipment counts from this week's Waste Management Phoenix Open are in - and the numbers are overwhelming.

Titleist is the clear top choice of more of the players in the field from tee-through-green ... from the GOLF BALL through nearly EVERY major GOLF CLUB category.

Of the 132 players competing at TPC Scottsdale this week, 71% (94 players) are trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, nearly six times the nearest competitor with 11% (16 players).

Titleist is also the top choice in the driver (37), fairway metal (54), hybrid (19) and irons (37) categories. Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category with 175 Vokey models in play.

Pro V1x loyalist Bubba Watson made a splash this week in Phoenix, becoming the first player to put a new Pro V1x YELLOW golf ball in play on Tour.

The results? Several drives over 340 yards in length (including this drive of the green at the par-4 17th hole, below) and debut round of 5-under-par 66.

Bubba wasn't the only player to go low during Round 1 at the WM Phoenix Open. Pro V1x loyalist Harold Varner III fired a 7-under-par 64 on Thursday, highlighted by this long birdie putt:
