Pigem and Kim top leaderboards around the globe

Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists continued to top leaderboards around the globe this week, as Pro V1 and Pro V1x players claimed five titles across the worldwide professional tours. With these wins, Titleist has now notched 103 golf ball victories across the worldwide professional tours this season.

Leading the way this past weekend, Titleist Brand Ambassador Greg Chalmers captured his first PGA Tour crown at the Barracuda Championship (read more). Titleist Brand Ambassador Thongchai Jaidee claimed his eighth career European Tour title at the 100th Open de France (read more) and Titleist Pro V1 loyalist Brooke Henderson captured her third career LPGA Tour victory, winning her second consecutive LPGA Cambia Portland Classic crown (read more).

Joining Chalmers, Jaidee and Henderson in the winner’s circle around the globe were Titleist golf ball loyalist Carlos Pigem (Yeangder TPC) and Titleist Brand Ambassador Taewoo Kim (An Private Bank Wanda Open).

Spain’s Carlos Pigem (Pro V1x) closed with a 5-under-par 67 at the Yeangder TPC to tie fellow Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Shunya Takeyasu at 12-under-par 276 and force a playoff. Pigem then birdied the first extra hole to earn his first career Asian Tour title.

In fact, it was the first career win as a professional for the champion.

Pigem topped a leaderboard where nine of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties trusted a Titleist golf ball.

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 96 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 15.

Titleist also topped the field in the iron sets and wedges categories.

On the PGA Tour China, Kim of South Korea won the png An Private Bank Wanda Open in come-from-behind fashion. It was a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist Pro V1x loyalists as Kim closed with a final round 4-under-par 68 en route to an 11-under-par victory total, two shots better than Maxwell McCardle and three clear of Charlie Saxon.

The win moves Kim up to the third place on the Order of Merit through the first half season of the PGA TOUR China Series

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 86 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 14.

The win was the fifth for Titleist golf ball loyalists through the first six events this season.
