Leading the way this week, Sung-Hyun Park relied upon the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball to weather the storms and the competition to capture the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Shootout for her third career LPGA Tour title.

The event was reduced to 36 holes (the first time since 2013 that this has occurred on the LPGA Tour) due to continuous rain and howling wind at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.

Park, the 2017 Player of the year and Rookie of the Year, posted scores of 65-66 for a two round total of 11-under-par 131, one shot clear of her nearest competitor.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Shootout with 115 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than eleven times the nearest competitor with 10.

Park’s victory marks the eighth win for Titleist players through the first 10 events on the 2018 LPGA Tour, eight times the nearest competitor with 1.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) won his first PGA Tour Champions event of the year and the 37th of his career, capturing the Insperity Invitational for the fourth time.

Langer shot a final round 2-under-par 70 en route to an 11-under 205 victory total, one shot clear of three other Titleist golf ball loyalists – Bart Bryant (Pro V1x), Paul Goydos (Pro V1) and Jeff Maggert (Pro V1x).

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Insperity Invitational with 63 players in the field of 78 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 6.

This marks the sixth win for Titleist players on the 2018 PGA TOUR Champions, twice the nearest competitor with 3.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Sang-Hyun Park (Pro V1) captured the 37th GS Caltex Maekyung Open in a four-man sudden death playoff over fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Gaganjeet Bhullar (Pro V1x), and Titleist golf ball loyalists JungGun Hwang (Pro V1x) and YiKeun Chang (Pro V1x).

Gaganjeet and Hwang bowed out after their first and second playoff holes, respectfully at Nam Seoul CC, and Park topped Chang with a par for the victory on the third extra hole.

It marked the sixth career Korean PGA Tour title for Park in the co-sanctioned event with the Asian Tour.

Nine of the 11 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success, including each of the top seven.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open with 111 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly eight times the nearest competitor with 14.

Titleist was also the top choice in the iron (48) category and Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (209) category.
