TS Speed Stories: Increasing Swing Speed As You Age

Our experts had lots more to share on the subject of Speed at Titleist's recent TS Metals symposium with PGA club professionals. And as they touched on in our first installment of TS Speed Stories, Dave Phillips and J.J. Van Wezenbeeck pointed out that when it comes to getting faster, the sum is often greater than the individual parts. Many small improvements - to both swing technique and equipment optimization - can add up to significant gains in speed and distance.

So let's dive back in, as we bring you two more clips from the discussion in Orlando. Above, J.J. fields a question from an audience member who wanted to know about the differences between TS2 and TS3 driver models. As J.J. explains, head design is a critical starting point when fitting a driver and there are some important performance differences between TS2 and TS3 that golfers need to be aware of to find the best setup.

And in the clip above, Dave refutes the notion that golfers must lose speed as they grow older. There are easy ways to maintain and even develop greater club head speed that don't require 24/7 training. The key is a combination of modest activities that address wellness, mobility and strength.

We hope you enjoy these insights from J.J. and Dave.
